October was a fabulously fun Fall month. We visited Sittoo and Giddoo in Cleveland, and while we were there we went to a little fall festival for children. The kids (big and little) had a terrific time! The girls picked out pumpkins and Emma was so excited about her pumpkin that I found it in her little suitcase. She then brought it to bed with her to keep it “safe.” We went to a few home Notre Dame football games this month, which is always a good time (despite a terrible record). Our friends the Enders from Cincinnati came for a weekend visit and attended the USC game with us. We took the Enders to Conner Prairie Settlement, a living history museum reenacting the 1800’s. It is quite an experience and the kids had a great time seeing the animals, the costumes, and all the historical buildings. Of course October is trick or treat time! Now that Emma is older, she is much more patient with activities such as pumpkin carving and crafts. Ruthie is stilling getting the hang of enjoying that sort of thing, but really enjoyed the costumes and the trick-or-treating. We hope to see you all soon! |
