This month the weather has been extraordinary! It has been so warm and delightful. Right now the air is very fragrant with all of the new spring blossoms. Daddy took me to see Sesame Street Live! It was so much fun. Daddy bought me a huge Elmo balloon that is still floating around our house (weeks later). Since the weather has been so nice, we are spending lots of time outdoors. I love to go to playgrounds. One beautiful Sunday Mom and Dad took me to a park and we had a picnic and I was able to play. We even went to the zoo and Mom came also! She tooled around in one of those dandy electric carts since she is not supposed to walk around a lot. We are all so excited about warm weather and summer approaching! Mom and Dad have a wonderful lady named Jan helping out while Mom is on bed rest. She is so nice and takes me places and plays with me while Dad works and Mom rests. She has been such a blessing. Some really big news is that Dt and Opa bought a new, huge playground! It is sooo cool! It has 2 big slides, lots of swings, a climbing wall and a sandbox! My cousins and I are going to have so much fun this summer! Dt and Opa’s pool just opened. I can’t wait to wear my new “baby soup” in the pool! I am speaking in complete sentences now. Boy, is that a relief. I have been waiting for this breakthrough. Mom is teaching me more sign language now. She decided it would be fun to continue and we both enjoy it. This month I have started to get myself dressed and I have been using the big girl potty. I have a couple of cute stories Dad and Mom wanted me to share with you. We have been reading about grandmas lately in the stories I have selected. I also learned to sign grandma and grandpa. I haven’t yet made the connection that I have 2 grandmas and 2 grandpas because I call them Sittoo and Giddoo and Dt and Opa. Anyway, I know that the grandmas in the stories have gray hair. One day Mom and I were shopping and there was a younger woman who obviously prematurely grayed. Mom’s not so sure that she was even 40 years old. I waved enthusiastically and said, “Hi, Grandma!” Mom was so embarrassed! The other day I had my spiffy pink pants on and no shirt or shoes. I said, “Bye, Mom. Going to Dt and Opa’s. I need shoes.” I went and picked out my black patent leather shoes and Mom helped me to put them on. I then said, “Ok. Bye bye, Mom!” She said, “Aren’t you missing something (namely a shirt)?” To which I replied, “Yes, my keys!” So many things thrill me lately and to tell Dad and Mom that I am happy I clench my fists and shake them and say, “I’m so excited! Emma’s so excited!” This month my “Na noo (thank you)” has been replaced by “Than to.” I enjoy saying, “Oh boy” and “Oh my!” My friend, Mr. Sunshine Roy, taught me how to make a pig call. I say, “Sssooouuuiiiieeee PIG!” See you next month!!!
