Gosh, the summer went by awfully fast! We went to Cleveland for my Aunt Bethy Durrant’s 40th surprise birthday party. Boy was that fun! (You will see from the pictures.) My Uncle Eddie and Auntie Roula Abdalla came from Houston for Aunt Bethy’s party, so we had a terrific time together. We got to spend a nice visit with Sittoo and Giddoo in Cleveland. We went to the Lake Erie Nature Center (one of my favorite places to visit with Sittoo and Giddoo). I love the playground, so we went several times and even went one time with my cousin, Michael Durrant.
This month Daddy, Mommy and I also went to South Bend for the Notre Dame-Washington game. That was my first college football game. Mom and Dad say I was (to quote them) “AMAZING.” I have to admit that I was pretty good. I sat very still during the game, mostly because it was so crazy and loud. I was too enthralled to be fidgety. Well, good old Notre Dame won that game, so Dad was especially happy.
I am doing lots of fun and new things this month. I have learned a few more letters: Z, C, and O. You may think those are random letters for a 15 month old to know—well, they are random. I actually pick letters off of the fridge and Mom or Dad tells me what they are and I carry them around all day (or week for that matter) and repeat the letter over and over. I really like O, though. I think that might be my favorite. I love the ABC song!! I say, “lu wu” (for love you). I also say, “happy, doggie, bubble, hotsie totsie,” among other things that I have begun to mimic. I try to repeat many words. I really enjoy reading books with Mom and Dad. My favorite is “Mama Mama, Papa Papa.” I enjoy turning around in circles and have even begun to run. Something special for me is showing my Daddy my hair or my outfit after Mommy gets me fixed up. After I am ready, I call out his name and he comes and makes a big fuss over me. It is really cute!
You may notice that there is a significantly smaller number of pictures this month. Well, Mom is glad, because it takes her FOREVER do update this website. She is grateful for the break!! Enjoy and we’ll see you next month!!
