Hello everyone! October has been a stay-at-home month for the most part. Dad and Mom have taken advantage of the opportunity to get lots of things done. We did celebrate a few birthdays this month (including Mommy’s). Of course we also celebrated Halloween. That was a bizarre event! All of the sudden I was a giraffe and people around me were different things too! I was never very comfortable with the whole idea, but I did go along with it. Supposedly I have been really cracking my parents up this month. I guess I have been a little funny. I have been speaking 2-3 word sentences and have begun to show my ability to express emotions (especially my frustration, with a stern pout and a thrust of my hand). For some reason they think that is funny. My new favorite song is Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes. I love to act out the motions on that one. My new letters this month are Y, L, M, N, A, C and I. I am recognizing familiar letters all over the placeeven at the grocery store! I surprised my Mom the other day by counting to 3. She hadn’t remembered teaching me thatand I guess she didn’t directlybut I have been listening, Mom! Playing hide and seek with my Uncle Matty and Opa has become a ritual when we are over for dinner. Lately I have been helping my Mom with the housework. I especially love the Swiffer! That thing is so cool. I also like to help set the table. My Mom took me to a little gymnastics class and realized that it was more work for her to keep up with me then it was for me to participate. We are now going to attend a music class instead and save the gymnastics for later. I do a wicked forward roll, thoughand I like to do the wheelbarrow. This month my Mom decided to imitate Ernie from Sesame Street with this hand puppet of mine. Well, I fell for it. I love that Ernie so much and everyone seems to think it is very humorous. I talk to him and show him things. I even show off a little when he is around. He is soooo cool. My Dad is hopefully going to include a video clip of me with Ernie on this month’s webpage. I discovered the computer this month and enjoy finding the letters I know on the keyboard. Well, I have been jabbering and now I must go find my parents. I am sure they are looking for me! See you next month! |
