June 2004
Hello! June was so much fun! We are finally settled at Dt and Opa’s house and are enjoying being so close to many of our relatives. On June 14th, I turned one year old. Mom, Dad and Uncle Matty took me to the zoo on my birthday and then we had a great party at Dt and Opa’s pool that evening. I was given my own cake to eat and was enthralled with the icing. My stomach wasn’t so happy the next day, however!! Aunt Mollie and Uncle Adam gave me this great red car that you will see in the pictures. They got Sadie one for her birthday 13 days after mine. We love to ride around in our red cars. Mom, Dad and I then went to Cleveland to see Sittoo and Giddoo. Aunt Meg, Uncle Tom and Faith were in Cleveland for a business trip so Aunt Meg and Faith were able to come to Sittoo and Giddoo’s for a few afternoons. Sittoo and Giddoo had a birthday party for me at their house. Sittoo got me a princess crown. My cousin Michael came and we played together. Mom, Dad, Sittoo and Giddoo took me to a fabulous playground. I really enjoyed the slides—the higher the better! Mom and Dad are teaching me sign language so that I can communicate with them (since I am still learning to verbalize my needs). Some of the words I like to sign are: more, food, water, baby, please, sorry and potty. I am also saying lots more words now. I am mimicking people more as well. My walking is improving. I have taken up to 6 unassisted steps! Well, I could go on and on but I’ve got to go take a dip in the pool with Mom and Dad (I love the pool!). See you next month!!
