Emma's June 2004 Webpage

Hello Again! Wow, July was a blast! Mom, Dad, Dt, Opa, Uncle Dolphin, Aunt Dorthe and family, Uncle Matty, Aunt Meggy, Uncle Tom and Faith, and Uncle Adam, Aunt Mollie and family went to Jawacdah Farms with lots of other Hillenbrand family members for a 4th of July extravaganza! I had my first horse ride there. The adults had a ball playing in tennis and golf tournaments (they even had a scavenger hunt!). I was very busy meeting lots of cousins for the first time (since last year I was only 3 weeks old at Jawacdah). Uncle Lucky Hillenbrand put on another fabulous fireworks display. I loved those fireworks! The noise didn't bother me at all. I would even say "Wow!" after each one. Did I tell you that I am walking now? I really got the hang of it when Mom, Dad and I were visiting Sittoo and Giddoo in Cleveland. Gosh, I can't believe how much more trouble I can get into now that I can walk. No wonder Mom wasn't too anxious for me to get the hang of it. Auntie Suzie Abdalla, Auntie Beth Durrant and my cousin Michael were also in Cleveland. We had a wonderful time together. Giddoo took me back to his garden to pick a cucumber (I then got to eat it! Yum). Mom and Dad celebrated their 2nd Anniversary in Cleveland. Well, now I know the power of the word, "No." I especially like to say, "No, No!" and shake my finger when I realize I am doing something that is not acceptable. Mom and Dad think it is pretty hilarious. I also like to say, "Let's go!" when I awaken and am ready to get out of bed. They seem to think that is funny too. I am definitely broadening my vocabulary, but I am still enjoying sign language. At the end of July a bunch of us went to the Mount Comfort air show. It was sooo cool. Even though I slept through it, Mom and Dad said the Air Force Thunderbirds were amazing! Well, that's all for now. See you next month!
