Wow! Sorry it has taken so long to give you December and January updates! We have been very busy, as you will soon learn. First of all, about the surprise I mentioned for my Daddy’s birthday last monthwell, Mommy got them tickets to see his favorite performer, Bruce Hornsby. She wrote a letter to his manager asking if Daddy could meet Bruce after the show and he DID! As you will see from the pictures, it was pretty cool for Dad! We traveled to Washington D.C. for a benefit dinner for Family of the Americas Foundation of which Dt, Opa and Mommy are on the board. It was held at the Willard Hotel. Opa was the MC for the evening and did a terrific job! Dt and Opa were given a beautiful award for their dedication and hard work for Family of the Americas. It was a wonderful evening and I was able to attend a little bit (wearing my pretty red dress). Christmas came quickly following Washington. Mommy, Daddy and I had our own little Christmas celebration. I received a big beautiful rocking horse and a wooden farm! We had a very nice and quiet morning together. Santa came early to Dt and Opa’s house. We continued our tradition of processing to the chapel singing carols. Charlotte read the story of Jesus’ birth and we had a little prayer service in thanksgiving for a wonderful and healthy year. We then got to go to the great room to see all of the terrific toys Santa brought us. I was thrilled with a new kitchen, sled and other fun toys! The next day Daddy, Mommy and I headed out to Cleveland just as the huge winter storm was coming. Thankfully, we made it just in time or we would not have been able to drive for several more days. We were all together at Sittoo and Giddoo’s house. We played games and had yummy meals. My cousins Michael and Daniel and I had a very generous Christmas from Santa. I received a very pretty doll bed and high chair. We went to Christmas liturgy at St. Elias and I got to wear my Christmas dress and coat. Uncle John and Aunt Pat Klann hosted a fabulous Christmas dinner for all of us. After a very busy but wonderful Christmas celebration in Cleveland, Daddy, Mommy and I got in the car and headed down to Naples, Florida to celebrate the New Year Before I give you my personal update, I have saved the best news for lastwe are going to have a NEW BABY in August! I am so excited to be a big sister. I get so excited sometimes that I try to lift up my Mommy’s shirt in public to give the baby a kiss (oops!). Mommy has not been feeling too terrific lately, but hopefully in 8 weeks or so, she will be feeling much better! Now, on to my accomplishments for this month! I am pretty funny lately. Mom and Dad have taught me to say excuse me “moony” when I am trying to get passed or need someone to move. It is quite effective. I still love to read books and have begun finishing the sentences of my stories. I am finally finding my singing voice and love to sing. I make up my own little songs. Coloring and drawing have become pretty popular with me lately. I even scribble and tell Mom and Dad what letter I just attempted to write. A couple of my favorite sayings are, “yee haw,” “woo hoo,” and “oh my!” Going to Mass is still a highlight for me. I love to visit JeJe and blow Him kisses in the middle of the liturgy. My favorite part of Mass is the sign of peace. I continue to shake people’s hands long after the sign of peace has ended, though. Well, on to the next month. We have a lot of catching up to do!
